Jim is a life-long resident of Dennison, Ohio. He has been affiliated with a variety of organizations. He served two (2) terms on the Claymont School Board, serving as President twice; served twelve (12) years on the Twin City Hospital Board, serving as President for nine (9) years; a former Trustee of the Ohio Society of Hospital Attorneys; a former Ohio School Board delegate; past President of the Tuscarawas County Bar Association; served on the Twin City Chamber of Commerce Board. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of The First National Bank of Dennison, Ohio and Tuscarawas Valley Financial.
He is a past President of the Tuscarawas County Automobile Club; legal counsel for the Community Improvement Corporation of Tuscarawas County; and is a member of the American Legion.
He has also formed and advised a number of other charitable organizations, to include the Claymont Foundation and the Trinity Hospital Twin City Foundation. He also has been awarded the Twin City Chamber of Commerce “Distinguished Citizen Award,” “Citizen of the Year Award,” and “2001 Special Recognition Award.” In 2005, he was inducted into the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce “Hall of Fame.”
